School Day SAT for Juniors

STUDENT REMINDERS

​
11th graders will be taking the SAT Wednesday, March 25, 2020. Here are some reminders! 
  • Eat breakfast! The cafeteria will be open as usual.
  • Arrive to school by 7:50AM to avoid traffic and to allow time for signing-in. Testing will start promptly at 8:15AM.
  • Students are responsible for bringing an ID, three (3) #2 pencils, one (1) pen with a dark blue or black ink, a calculator, and snacks  in the testing room. Mechanical pencils are not allowed. Do not forget your ID.
  • Students will not have access to lockers. Do not bring any other belongings such as your backpack. Phones, Apple or Galaxy watches, and other personal belongings will be placed in a designated area in the testing room.
  • Please arrive in your school uniform. 
  • Students must sign-in at the Front Entrance to receive their room assignment. 
  • Students are entitled to send their scores - for free - to as many as four colleges, universities, or scholarship programs. A code list will be provided to you during the test. Please be prepared to indicate your colleges.

Reminders for All Teachers
  • Review STUDENT REMINDERS in Homeroom for 11th graders.​
  • Review teacher assignments below. 
  • If your room is going to be used for the test, please arrange the room so the desks are in rows and columns. Allow as much space as possible between students; students must be at least 3 feet apart. There will be about 25 students in each room except Room 306 (N = 1).  ​​

Reminders for Proctors

BEFORE THE TEST​​
  • If you are proctoring, please pick up the test materials before 8:00AM in the Counseling Office. Reading from the Pre-administration Script should start at 8:15AM. 
  • Designate space for students' belongings (bags, snacks, etc.) Students may not have access to their belongings during the test. 
  • Prepare seating chart by writing it on the board. 

DURING THE TEST
  • Late students who arrive after the "you may begin" direction should be sent to the Library or the Counseling Office.
  • Take attendance and write "ABS" for students who are absent. ​
  • Complete seating chart.
  • Ensure that students sign their answer sheets and that the Form Code, Test Id, and Serial Number (might be blank) are filled in by the student.  
  • For students who need to use the restroom, call assigned department for escort.

AFTER THE TEST
  • Proctors bring the following materials back to the Counseling Office at the end of testing:
    1. Answer sheets (with count & separated by 10's)
    2. Test booklets (with count & separated by 10's)
    3. Supervisor's Manual
    4. Seating Chart and Attendance Sheet (indicated absence with "ABS")
  • Do not let any student walk out with any testing materials. Any issues with students' answer sheets can be resolved in the Counseling Office.
